Dogs of all kinds have always been a passion passed down through my family for
generations. This passion led me to my career as a certified companion animal advisor
with the Ralston Purina Company in 1978. Once I left Ralston Purina, I became a pheasant
hunting guide/dog handler and eventually, the head dog trainer at the one of the largest
hunt clubs in the state.
In 2003, I began Professional Dog Training by James "Lucky"
Miller. My family and I have now opened Countryside Kennels.

Countryside Kennels is
nestled in the heart of Michigan's wild pheasant population. We have 40 acres of
grasses, 3 ponds, and numerous food plots consisting of sorghums, sunflowers, millet,
milo, corn and clovers. We are a wholesale dealer of pet food products , pet supplies,
and training equipment. We also own some of the finest blood-lines available for German
Shorthaired Pointers, English Setters, English Pointers and Labrador Retrievers. After handling hundreds
of dogs, I have selected only the dogs that I felt would produce puppies with excellent
temperaments and desire. In short, my dogs are bred to be outstanding in both the
home and the field.

Here at Countryside Kennels, we strive to make your pets stay here an exciting,
rewarding, and productive visit. Our specialty is to take young, ambitious puppies and
comfortably turn them into lifelong family hunting companions.

Welcome to the Countryside Kennels family.
I look forward to meeting you and your pet!
